The addition of these three materials results in a material that is especially resistant to stress-corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, as well as chemical attacks from organic or inorganic acids. Another advantage of SS DIN 1.4539 Channels is their excellent mechanical strength; its tensile strength can reach up to 900 MPa, and it has a 0.2% proof stress level, nearly double this at 800MPa. This combination of physical properties makes Stainless Steel DIN 1.4539 a very useful material for many applications, particularly where conditions are harsh or extreme temperatures are present.
