SS321 is austenitic-ferritic stainless steel, and it is a composition element like carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphrous, sulphur, chromium, nickel, nitrogen, titanium element. It is mainly used in corrosive environments. Also, The alloy can resist localized corrosion such as pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The combination of austenitic-ferritic and chemical composition results in mechanical properties that are able to cover with its high-stress situations. The presence of these nickel carbon content shows superior corrosion resistant properties in most environments.
Also, the alloy provides high resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, even in oxidizing and acidic solutions. It is used in applications like the pharmaceuticals equipment industry, pharmaceutical industry, seawater equipment industry, chemical equipment industry. SS 321 pipes can be either used to allow inlet of raw material of liquid form or as an outlet of scrap solutions. In both cases, the firmness needs to be accurate.
