ASTM A269 standard defines the specifications and requirements for seamless stainless steel pipes, suitable for use in various corrosive environments and temperature conditions.
ASTM A269 stainless steel pipe standard applies to thick-walled stainless steel pipes for general corrosion protection, overheating, and overcooling equipment, with an inner diameter of 6.4mm or larger and a wall thickness of 0.51mm or thicker. Mechanical properties do not apply to pipes with an inner diameter less than 1/8 inch or a wall thickness less than 0.015 inches.
