ASTM A213 254 SMO Seamless Tube is a high-end, molybdenum and nitrogen containing, low carbon, super austenitic stainless steel that offers excellent uniform corrosion resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue.
254 SMO stainless steel heat exchanger tubes are much stronger than ordinary austenitic grades, almost twice as strong as 300 series stainless steels, and feature high ductility and impact strength.
