2.4660 1.4512 Stainless Steel Erw Pipes
Type 410HT stainless steel (2.4660)is martensitic steel with low chromium content. It can be readily welded using the most commonly known standard methods.Due to its low chromium content, type 410HT is resistant to corrosion in mild atmospheres, steam, and mild chemical environments. It can be hot worked, cold-formed, and annealed, making it general-purpose stainless steel.When welded, it is recommended to preheat the part at 350-400oF, to reduce the risk of cracking.
Grade 409 / 1.4512 titanium stabilised ferritic stainless steel is often referred to as 'muffler grade stainless steel' since the major bulk usage of this material is for automotive exhaust systems.
