Product Introduction
The weld neck flange is one of the most common flange types and features a long sleeve that is welded to the pipe. This flange type is often used in high pressure and high/low temperature applications that require unrestricted inflow of the fluid carried by the pipe. The absence of pressure drop prevents negative conditions such as turbulence and corrosion/erosion of raw materials near the flange joint. The tapered seat allows for smooth distribution of mechanical stress between the pipe and the weld neck flange and facilitates radiographic inspection to detect possible leaks and weld scars.
