SS 321H Buttweld Fittings are improved with higher temperature strength and enhanced weldability that uses standard fusion methods. Thus these fittings are strong, rigid, and mostly used in high thermal levels applications such as aircraft exhaust stacks and manifolds, jet engine parts and weld equipment.
SS 321 is basic austenitic steel of Nickel-Chromium stabilized by the adding together of Titanium. It exhibits better strength, excellent resistance to scaling and phase stability and resistance to consequent aqueous corrosion. SS 321H is an austenitic general purpose steel stable against carbide precipitation. It is only hardened using a cold working technique, and in the annealed condition, it is non-magnetic. Titanium suppresses chromium carbide precipitation to reduce intergranular corrosion.
