Stainless Steel 316 Pipe Concentric Reducers
Stainless steel reducer, which is also known as a tapered expansion joint, is used to connect stainless steel round tube, tube fittings or hygienic fittings that have different outside diameters. Reducers are generally butt welded to the round tube or fitting.
A concentrated reducer SS 316 can also be used to reduce the concentrated tube fitting for both inlet- and outlet ends correctly into and outside the circulating pumps. Some of the main parameters for choosing a concentration reducer are vacuum, maximum temperature compression, estimated power, extension, etc. SS 316 concentric reducers frequently trap air when used at the suction of the pump. SS 304 concentric reducer save installation space and reduce costs. Piping systems must be anchored when using SS 316 concentric reducer.

Corrosion Resistance of Stainless steel 316
Stainless steel 316 has excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to a range of corrosive environments and media. It is usually regarded as "marine grade" stainless steel but is not resistant to warm sea water. Warm chloride environments can cause pitting and crevice corrosion. Grade 316 is also subject to stress corrosion cracking above around 60°C.
Heat Resistance of Stainless steel 316
Stainless steel 316 has good resistance to oxidation in intermittent service to 870°C and in continuous service to 925°C. However, continuous use at 425-860°C is not recommended if corrosion resistance in water is required. In this instance 316L is recommended due to its resistance to carbide precipitation.
