ASME SB163 Monel 400 Nickel Alloy Offshore Oil Pipe

ASME SB163 Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy pipe widely used in offshore oil applications for its excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and toughness over a wide temperature range. It is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking and suitable for subzero to high-temperature applications (up to 1020°F). This material meets the ASME SB163 standard for cold-finished seamless pipe and is tested for mechanical properties, chemical composition, and other requirements.

What are the specifications for Monel 400 pipe?

This grade of nickel-copper alloy is available in ASTM B165 and B725 specifications. Pipe is available in seamless, welded, electric-resistance-welded, and fabricated forms. ASME SB165 Monel 400 seamless pipe conforms to ASTM, ASME, and API standards and is available in nominal inside diameters ranging from 15 inches to 150 inches.

About Gnee Steel

Gnee Steel specializes in the production of various nickel-based alloys. Gnee Steel's product packaging includes steel strapping: Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less are typically strapped together with polypropylene film to prevent rust during sea transportation, and then secured with steel strapping. Wooden boxes/crates: Pipes are typically packaged in wooden boxes or crates to protect them during transportation, especially those that are longer or have larger diameters. Seaworthy export packaging: Suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include a variety of materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transportation. Tarpaulin packaging: This prevents rainwater, seawater, and other external factors from penetrating the export wooden crates during transportation. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sale of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, nuclear, and other industries, and we can provide customized alloy material solutions based on customer needs.
