Nickel 201 Seamless Pipe is a forged economical pure nickel with a carbon content of 0.02%. This provides extremely tough mechanical properties over a wide temperature range. Corrosion resistance is present at neutral to moderately reduced temperatures.
Nickel 201 Alloy Pipe is ferromagnetic. It has high thermal and electrical conductivity compared to nickel-based alloys, stainless steels, and low alloys. Due to its low carbon content (up to 0.02%), Nickel 201 may be considered for use in processes above 600°F (316°C) where Alloy 200 with its higher carbon content is not recommended.
