A SS 304 round bar is an austenitic grade of steel. Stainless Steel 304 Round Bar is designed with a circular cross section. These bars are designed with a primary chemical content of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The 304 stainless steel round bar has excellent corrosion resistance properties and works well in higher temperature and pressure conditions.
The ASTM A276 Type 304 is available in either condition a or condition b. ASTM A276 Type 304 condition a is an annealed metal that is highly resistant to corrosion in harsh environments. This SA 479 gr 304 Bar condition a grade is very ductile and is common in the automotive, marine, oil, aerospace, and petrochemical industry. The condition b SA 479 tp 304 Rounds is also annealed and is more stronger and ductile than condition a. This is accomplished via the cold working process. An SS 304 Black Bar is common in heavyweight fasteners, carabiners, linkage devices, the automotive industry, etc.
The SS 304 grade is the most common grade used in producing a stainless steel round bar. The ASTM A276 UNS S30400 grade has excellent chemical content, giving it outstanding resistance to corrosive and reducing affluents. The round bars of this grade have excellent toughness in elevated as well as low temperatures.
The austenitic SUS 304 rod has outstanding welding qualities and the raw materials required to manufacture the grade are readily available. This makes it a popular grade in the industry. The SA 276 304 Rectangular Bars is commonly seen in a variety of home and commercial applications. These bars are used in the food, domestic tools, and architectural industry. The A479 Gr 304 Forged Bars is also seen in chemical containers, heat exchangers, mining systems, etc.
