Key Characteristics
High Strength: Monel 400 (UNS N04400) is known for its high tensile strength, which can be further increased through cold working.
Corrosion Resistance: It offers excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including seawater, various salts, and alkalis, and is particularly resistant to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking.
Wide Temperature Range: The alloy maintains its strength and toughness from subzero to elevated temperatures, making it widely used in heat exchangers.
Mechanical Properties: It is a solid solution alloy that can be strengthened by cold working, improving its surface and dimensional stability.
Chemical Composition: It is a nickel-copper alloy with a high nickel content (63-70%) and a copper content of 20-29%, which imparts its unique properties.

Heat Exchanger Applications
Marine Environments: Its exceptional resistance to seawater and marine conditions makes it an ideal choice for offshore and coastal applications.
Steam Applications: Due to its strength and corrosion resistance, the alloy is suitable for high-temperature steam applications. Corrosive media: It is effective in highly corrosive environments, especially in environments with strong aeration and violent stirring.
