What is an Incoloy 825 flange?

What is an Incoloy 800 flange?

Incoloy 800 flanges are high-temperature flanges made of a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with added aluminum and titanium. They exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and carburization resistance at temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C). Therefore, these flanges are ideal for refineries, petrochemical plants, and other industries that require handling extreme temperatures. Incoloy 825 Flanges vs. Incoloy 800 Flanges

Composition: Incoloy 825 flanges are a nickel-iron-chromium alloy containing molybdenum, copper, and titanium. It exhibits extremely high corrosion resistance, especially in acidic environments, and possesses good mechanical properties. Incoloy 800 flanges, on the other hand, are also a nickel-iron-chromium alloy but contain small amounts of aluminum and titanium. It also possesses corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties, but is more suitable for high-temperature environments with maximum temperatures up to 1100°C.

 

Heat Resistance: In terms of heat resistance, both Incoloy 825 and Incoloy 800 flanges have high melting points. However, Incoloy 800 flanges are better suited for high-temperature applications than Incoloy 825 flanges. The maximum operating temperature of Incoloy 825 flanges is 540°C, while Incoloy 800 flanges can withstand temperatures up to 1100°C. Therefore, if your project requires flanges capable of withstanding extreme high temperatures, Incoloy 800 flanges are the better choice.

 

Corrosion Resistance
Both Incoloy 825 and Incoloy 800 flanges exhibit excellent corrosion resistance.
