Inconel 825 Round Bar, also known as UNS N08825/W.Nr. 2.4858, like the Inconel family, is a nickel-based alloy. In addition to the main nickel, iron and chromium base, the alloy UNS N08825 spring steel bar has added elements such as molybdenum, copper and titanium.
The properties of Incoloy UNS No 8825 hot rolled bar are enhanced to some extent by the addition of these materials. For example, the content of the main alloying element, namely nickel, in the Incoloy 8825 polished bar is sufficient to resist chloride ion related corrosion cracking.
The chromium salts and compounds in the alloy 825 Inconel round bar provide resistance to various oxidizing chemicals or salts and compounds such as nitric acid, nitrates and oxidizing salts. The addition of titanium in the Incoloy 825 Din 2.4858 cold drawn bar, along with the appropriate heat treatment, serves the alloy well. This heat treatment, combined with the addition of titanium, helps stabilize the alloy 825 nickel bright bar and prevents sensitization to intergranular corrosion.
