Inconel 718 alloy strip
Nickel 718 strip is a weather-resistant nickel-chromium alloy primarily composed of iron, niobium, molybdenum, and smaller amounts of aluminum and titanium. The alloy's slow weathering hardening properties make it easy to weld without hardening or rapidly breaking. Nickel alloy 718 plate, on the other hand, is a weather-resistant nickel-based superalloy that combines high strength, corrosion resistance, and good ductility. Also known as UNS N07718, this superalloy is primarily composed of iron, niobium, niobium, and molybdenum, with smaller amounts of aluminum and titanium.

Does Inconel 718 alloy work harden?
However, 718 alloy has some unique metallurgical properties that make it more challenging to machine. First, it work hardens during machining, significantly increasing the strength of the metal's surface.
