ASTMB163 N08825 Incoloy825 bright annealed seamless pipe

ASTM B163 UNS N08825 Incoloy 825 bright annealed seamless tubing is a high-performance nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed for corrosive and high-temperature applications, often used in heat exchangers and chemical processes. "ASTM B163" is the material name, "UNS N08825" is the trade name for the alloy, known for its excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments, particularly sulfuric and phosphoric acids. The "bright annealed" surface treatment indicates that the tubing has been heated and slowly cooled in a protective atmosphere to enhance its mechanical properties, resulting in a clean, smooth, oxide-free surface.

What are the properties of Incoloy 825 alloy?

Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. This alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance in both moderately oxidizing and moderately reducing environments. Alloy 825 is similar to Alloy 800, but with improved resistance to aqueous corrosion.

ASTM B163 specifies the requirements for seamless nickel and nickel alloy tubing used in condensers and heat exchangers.
It covers key aspects of the tubing, including chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional tolerances.

Bright Annealing Surface Treatment
The bright annealing process involves heating the tubing to a specific temperature in a controlled atmosphere, followed by slow cooling.
This process removes surface oxides, resulting in a smooth, bright surface and ensuring the tubing maintains its required performance in corrosive and high-temperature environments.

About Gnee Steel

Gnee Steel specializes in the production of various nickel-based alloys. Gnee Steel's product packaging includes steel strapping: Pipes with an outer diameter of 3 inches or less are typically strapped together with polypropylene film to prevent rust during sea transportation, and then secured with steel strapping. Wooden boxes/crates: Pipes are typically packaged in wooden boxes or crates to protect them during transportation, especially those that are longer or have larger diameters. Seaworthy export packaging: Suppliers typically use standard seaworthy export packaging methods, which may include a variety of materials and techniques to protect the pipes during transportation. Tarpaulin packaging: This prevents rain, seawater, and other external factors from penetrating the export wooden crates during transportation. Gnee Steel specializes in the production and sale of alloy materials. Gnee Steel's products are widely used in aerospace, chemical, power, automotive, and nuclear energy industries, and we can provide customized alloy material solutions based on customer needs.
