Inconel Alloy 617 is a composition of nickel, chromium, cobalt, and molybdenum content, Having a remarkable balance of metallurgical stability, strength, and oxidation resistance at high temperatures. The addition of aluminum offers resistance to oxidation. The alloy is used in the manufacturing of nitric acid as well as petrochemical processing, heat treating, ducting, transition liners, and a variety of corrosive aqueous conditions due to its resistance to corrosion in a wide range of environments.
