Inconel603XL steel products can exist in several crystal forms, the most common of which are body-centered cubic (bcc) and face-centered cubic (fcc). In pure iron, the fcc structure still exists between 910 and 1400°C, a time interval below the body-centered cubic structure and above the melting temperature of 1539°C.
INCONEL Alloy 686 (UNS N06686/W.Nr. 2.4606) is a single-phase austenitic Ni-Cr-Mo-W alloy that provides excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of harsh environments. Its high nickel (Ni) and molybdenum (Mo) provide good resistance under reducing conditions, and its high chromium (Cr) provides resistance to oxidizing media. Molybdenum (Mo) and tungsten (W) help resist localized corrosion such as pitting. Iron (Fe) is tightly controlled to enhance performance.
