UNS N06601 Nickel Alloy Seamless Condenser Heat Exchanger Tube, Inconel 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with strong oxidation resistance up to 2200°F. Alloy 601 alloy has excellent resistance to hot corrosion in oxidizing conditions.
Inconel 602CA is one of the most oxidation resistant nickel alloys available. Excellent oxidation resistance is achieved through high chromium content (25%), aluminum (2.2%) and micro-alloyed yttrium (0.1%). It is well known that high chromium content is beneficial for oxidation resistance. The addition of aluminum forms a continuous and uniform self-healing AI2O3 sub-scale. The addition of yttrium improves the adhesion and spalling resistance of chromium and alumina scales. The extremely low scaling rate of 602CA alloy makes it an ideal choice for applications such as calciners where scaling contamination is minimal.
