901 Alloy Corrosion Resistant Pipe
Inconel 901 Alloy nickel-iron-chromium alloy containing titanium and aluminum for precipitation hardening and molybdenum for solid-solution strengthening. The alloy has high yield strength and creep resistance at temperatures to about 1110°F (600°C). A substantial iron content enables the alloy to combine high strength with good forging characteristics. Used in gas turbines for discs and shafts. Standard products form is round.
Inconel Incoloy 901 Alloy Corrosion Resistance
901 alloy has good corrosion resistance in the atmospheres common in jet engine operation. Its resistance to scaling is slightly lower than that of Type 309 and Type 310 stainless steels.
Inconel Incoloy 901 Alloy Forging
The alloy is forged at 2050/1850°F (1120/1010°C). Some forging temperatures may be as low as 1600°F (870°C), but should not be lower. When forging rapidly, the metal temperature should not exceed 2050°F (1120°C).
Inconel Incoloy 901 Alloy Heat Treatment
Solution treatment: 1975/2025°F (1080/1107°C), hold for 2 hours, then water quench.
Stabilization: 1400/1475°F (760/802°C) for 2 to 4 hours, then air cool.
Precipitation Hardening: 1300/1375°F (704/746°C) for 24 hours, then air cool.
