Product Introduction
2205 stainless steel coil is a high-strength low-alloy corrosion resistant stainless steel (UNS S32205). It has been developed as a cost-effective alternative to the more expensive austenitic stainless steel coils and nickel alloys coils.
The alloy composition of 2205 contains molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen. The addition of molybdenum provides resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Chromium improves the corrosion resistance in sulfate environments, whereas nitrogen enhances its resistance to stress corrosion cracking.2205 stainless steel weldability is very good. 2205 duplex stainless steel pipe to achieve the performance of the weld metal and thermal deterioration of the base metal and still maintain the same corrosion resistance, strength, and toughness.
