Monel K500 polished plate is a nickel-copper alloy (Ni63%/Cu30%) strengthened by aging hardening of aluminum (2.3-3.15%) and titanium (0.35-0.85%). While maintaining the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 (resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid and alkaline media), it can obtain ultra-high mechanical properties (tensile strength ≥1100MPa, hardness HRC25-35) by aging treatment at 480-620℃ for 4-16 hours. This material can be mechanically polished (80# to 1200# abrasive belt + polishing paste) or electrolytic polishing to achieve Ra≤0.1μm mirror effect. It is both decorative and functional and is widely used in chemical reactor linings, seawater desalination equipment, oil valves and high-end decoration fields. Attention should be paid during processing: aging hardening must be performed after cold rolling, ERNiCu-7 welding materials must be used for welding and re-aging treatment, and iron contamination should be avoided during storage. Compared with Monel 400, it has higher strength but higher cost. If higher temperature performance is required, Inconel 625 can be considered. When purchasing, the age-hardened state (ASTM B865 standard) and surface grade (2B/BA/mirror) should be clearly required. It is particularly suitable for harsh working conditions that require corrosion resistance, wear resistance and aesthetics at the same time.
