Information about the properties of UNS N04400 nickel alloy annealed tube

UNS N04400 pipe (Monel 400) is a nickel-copper alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance to seawater, non-oxidizing acids, and salts, particularly in freshwater and industrial waters, where it offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting. In the annealed condition, the pipe is easy to form and fabricate and exhibits good mechanical properties, including strength and toughness over a wide temperature range, from sub-zero to approximately 550°C. It is non-magnetic, has excellent thermal conductivity, and low electrical resistivity.

What are the properties of Monel alloy 400 at high temperatures?

This alloy offers moderate strength, good weldability, good corrosion resistance, and toughness. Its operating temperature range is up to 1000°F (538°C). Alloy 400 offers excellent corrosion resistance in fast-moving brackish or seawater environments where resistance to cavitation and corrosion is required.
