Inconel N07718 cold worked seamless pipe

Inconel N07718 (or Alloy 718/UNS N07718) is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium alloy prized for its high strength at elevated temperatures (up to 1300°F/700°C), excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, and good weldability. Cold-finished seamless tubing exhibits enhanced mechanical properties, such as higher tensile strength and hardness, resulting from the cold working process. This makes it an ideal choice for demanding applications in aerospace, gas turbines, and oil and gas, where high-stress, high-pressure, and corrosive environments are common.

Key Features
High Strength and Toughness: The cold working process further enhances the tensile and yield strength of the already excellent Inconel 718 alloy.
High-Temperature Performance: It maintains excellent mechanical strength and stability at elevated temperatures and is resistant to creep rupture.
Corrosion Resistance: Inconel 718 offers excellent resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and general corrosion in a wide range of corrosive environments.
Weldability: The alloy is easily welded without requiring lengthy heating and cooling cycles, a key advantage in manufacturing.
Low Magnetic Permeability: It is non-magnetic, which is beneficial in certain sensitive applications.

Seamless Cold Working Process
Seamless: Seamless pipe is drawn from a single billet, resulting in excellent dimensional accuracy and low surface roughness.
Cold Working: A cold drawing process is used to achieve desired dimensions, reduce friction, and improve the pipe's mechanical properties, such as strength and hardness.

Key Applications
Aerospace: It is the material of choice for aircraft engine components and other high-stress aerospace applications. Gas turbine components: Its excellent high-temperature strength and durability make it suitable for gas turbine operation.
Oil and gas industry: Its corrosion resistance allows it to be used in pumps, valves, and process control equipment.
Other high-stress industries: Its versatility allows it to be used in demanding, corrosive, and high-pressure environments where reliable performance is critical.
