High-temperature Incoloy 800H superheater tubes

Incoloy 800H superheater tubes are a nickel-iron-chromium alloy designed for high-temperature applications due to their exceptional strength, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance. Key properties include the ability to withstand temperatures up to 1100°F (593°C) and above, resistance to carburization and corrosion, and good weldability and thermal fatigue resistance, making them ideal for use in power plants and other harsh industrial environments. The 800HT version incorporates titanium and aluminum for further high-temperature stability and creep strength.

At what temperature does 800 alloy creep?

1100°F
800H alloy exhibits good creep-rupture properties at temperatures above 600°C (1100°F). Due to its titanium and aluminum contents up to 0.7%, it maintains good ductility for extended service at temperatures below 700°C (1290°F). Standard annealed 800 alloy is recommended for use below 600°C (1100°F).

Advantages of Incoloy 800H Tube

Property

Advantages of Incoloy 800H

Application in Convection Tubes

High-Temperature Strength

excellent creep and stress-rupture resistance

Withstands the impact of high-temperature cracking furnace flue gases, preventing pipe deformation or cracking under long-term high-temperature conditions.

Corrosion Resistance

Excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation; resistant to nitric acid and organic acids

Resists corrosion from acidic media, water vapor, carbon dioxide mixtures, and sulfur-containing flue gases generated during the cracking process.

Microstructural Stability

Ti/Al stabilization treatment inhibits carbide precipitation and sensitization, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion.

Ensures stable performance even after long-term use in the sensitive temperature range of 593-816°C.

Processing and Welding

Excellent hot workability and weldability

Facilitates fabrication, installation, and subsequent maintenance of convection tube module
