Nickel 201 alloy bar is pure commercial nickel with very low carbon content, which can be used in high temperature environment up to 1230℃. In catalytic regenerators in petrochemical production, alloy 600 is recommended for applications above 700℃ for longer service life.

Nickel Alloy 201 Cold Drawn Forged Bar Machinability and Heat Treatment
The machinability of Nickel Alloy 201 is basically the same as that of Nickel 200, and it is suitable for processing by conventional methods. High-speed steel tools are recommended for processing. Heat treatment includes annealing between 1650 F and 1300 F, and forging should be carried out in the range of 2100 F to 1200 F.
