400 Nickel Based Alloy Plate
Gnee Steel offers various Monel 400 sheets as per customer requirements. Monel is based on copper (20-29%) and nickel (65-70%) and also contains manganese and iron (5%) along with other compounds. They are widely used in different application industries like chemicals, fats and fertilizers, shipyards, sugar mills and breweries, paper industry, cement industry etc. Monel 400 sheets are also available in custom made to order lengths and can also be machined or fabricated to meet your requirements for piping systems. Monel 400 sheets are available in thicknesses ranging from 0.018 to 0.140 inches.
Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy that is hardened only by cold working. Monel 400 has a low corrosion rate in flowing seawater and hence is widely used in marine applications. Monel 400 also has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in most fresh waters. Monel 400 can be used in temperatures up to 1000 ºF. The alloy has excellent mechanical properties in sub-zero temperatures.
